These 5 Santa Barbara Restaurant Interiors Absolutely NAILED IT

It's no secret that we live for  interior design here at thecompletechic.com (that's obvious right?).  We have a deep appreciation for Santa Barbara business owners who take it to the next level and are  capable of bringing a unique idea or concept to fruition to elevate their atmosphere. These 5 Santa Barbara Restaurants have our jaws dropping and senses tingling, not just for great food, but for their superb interior design. If you like what you see, we have found some "shop similar style" Amazon buys that we know will be a hit. For more shopping favorites, visit our LUXURY HOME FAVORITES PAGE.

Tyger Tyger just opened its doors on October 29, 2018 in Santa Barbara's Funk Zone, and it is major design goals.
It specializes in coastal Southeast Asian cuisine served up in a bight and cheery atmosphere. We love an establishment that takes risk, and the design risk really payed off at Tyger Tyger. Get your phones ready, so many instagramable moments here. The wall papered ceiling  with rows of  bright pink paper lanterns would put a smile on any face. We're also obsessed with the bass hand wall sconce (see our shop similar style below - we tried, but couldn't find a scone). Every aspect of this interior is #completelychic - well done.

Also located in the Funk Zone, is a Santa Barbara absolute MUST TRY (we are not kidding). Loquita  serves up unbelievably tasty, farm  fresh, tapas and charcuteries. Their full bar is ready to shake some serious craft cocktails and lined with a stunning gilded mirror backdrop (see our shop similar style below). The setting is welcoming, alive and charming with natural textures, Spanish tiled floors, modern lighting, Scandinavian touches and antiqued accents. If you're meeting friends, or someone special, this is on the top of our list for elevated atmosphere.

Blackbird is the epitome of chic. Its mid century modern interior would have any design junky salivating. This restaurant is not your typical Santa Barbara restaurant, it’s more fit for the city, which is why we love it! Think Mad Men, in restaurant form. Adorned in red leather, chevron patterns, two toned diamond marble floors, dramatic black walls, sprinkled with brass and mirror accents, Blackbird is a true Santa Barbara gem.  If you appreciate exceptional contemporary designs that pay homage to the Mid Century era, you should certainly be stopping here. Though our focus is not food for this post, we’re letting you know - it’s good.

Smithy Bar + Kitchen is located right around the corner from the Granada Theatre (just a few doors down from The Little Door).  It boasts a modern  interior with a VERY Southern California aesthetic. They decked this massive space out with nautical lighting pendants, hairpin barstools (see below), contemporary tabletops and hanging plants, which may sound like a lot, but ties together seamlessly. The inside is bright, airy and sophisticated. Did I mention the outside? It's spectacular. Centered around two massive, string lit olive trees, it's back patio is a remarkable place to enjoy dinner or a cocktail (stop in for Happy Hour!). Smithy provides a laid back atmosphere in a classy setting, certainly worth checking out.

The Little Door is situated across the street from Santa Barbara’s historic courthouse gardens. The location alone provides patrons with classic, scenic Santa Barbara views and let me tell you. it's breath taking. Its eclectic interior is filled with sheepskin pelts, rustic wood ,  farmhouse chic decor and a dandy bright blue glass chandelier, which brought together invokes a cozy, whimsical feeling. It’s no accident that the restaurant has a reputation for being the most romantic place in Santa Barbara. If you need to step up your date night game, then this is the perfect dining experience for you!
